We are seeking an experienced Head of QA to lead and elevate our quality assurance function. This is a pivotal role that involves overseeing the entire QA process, driving the adoption of best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Product Management (PM) and User Experience (UX), ensuring that the highest quality standards are met across our web and mobile platforms. As a senior leader in the team, you will mentor and coach QA engineers, providing them with guidance on best practices and technical expertise. Your contributions will directly influence the reliability and performance of our products and services.

What You Will Deliver:

  • Collaborate across teams: You will work closely with Product Managers and UX designers to fully understand the project details, ensuring that quality assurance is integrated into the development lifecycle from the beginning. You will advocate for quality at every stage of the process.
  • Mentor and coach QA professionals: As a leader, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing a team of QA engineers and analysts. You will provide coaching, technical mentorship, and support to ensure the team is equipped with the latest QA techniques and practices.
  • Plan and execute QA best practices: You will be accountable for creating and refining QA strategies, ensuring the team follows industry-leading methodologies for automation and manual testing. Your role will involve setting up and maintaining processes that guarantee high-quality deliverables across different platforms.
  • Define and track QA metrics: By establishing relevant quality assurance metrics, you will continuously monitor and assess the quality of deliverables, identifying areas for improvement. You will analyze these metrics to ensure service quality remains high and proactively address any deviations from expected standards.
  • Monitor delivery progress: You will oversee the progress of all ongoing projects, ensuring timelines and quality benchmarks are met. You will identify and mitigate risks early in the development cycle to ensure smooth, on-time delivery.
  • Support root cause analysis: You will lead the investigation of quality-related issues and support the team in providing detailed root cause analysis. Your ability to quickly identify and resolve problems will play a critical role in ensuring the stability of the products.

  • Agile mindset: You are well-versed in Agile methodologies and have experience working in environments with continuous integration and testing pipelines. You understand how to implement QA processes in a way that supports rapid, iterative development without compromising on quality.
  • Excellent communicator: Your communication skills allow you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management. You are able to convey complex ideas clearly, and you are comfortable advocating for quality assurance at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in QA, with significant exposure to automation, particularly in web and mobile technologies.
  • Strong expertise in developing automation test frameworks using tools such as TestNG, Selenium, and Appium.
  • Solid experience working in Agile environments with continuous integration and testing.
  • A track record of mentoring and leading QA teams to success.
  • Proficiency in defining and tracking QA metrics to ensure service quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis.
